CreatAthon:

Pro bono work where teams of volunteer professionals have

24 hours to complete a nonprofit brief from start to finish.

In 2018, for the second year in a row, I took part in a CreateAthon where our task was to provide a social media plan and an accompanying campaign for CAFY.

I created the entire social media plan as well as over 20 post templates for all three social channels to serve as guidance for their employees.

Concept

CAFY provides support, counseling, and legal advice to victims of crime and the

wider community. We created a concept that would work across all their services while still speaking to the empowerment and support their clients receive.

The concept and tagline is confident, memorable, and can be used in the vernacular of their communications:

Services

CAFY offers many services and often tried to promote all of them in a single post.
Our solution was to break them up visually to make their overall look more eye-catching while also presenting content and information that was clearer for their audience.

Events

Future events can then be created by their staff using the relevant color and service.

The below example shows how a community event works with the above design.

Promotional Materials

To promote the campaign and give CAFY's survivors an empowering way to destroy the label that haunted them when they reached out, we created these sheets for people to tear in half and join back together. It's a simple act that creates an instantly powerful and shareable moment. We also created blank templates for people at events to write in their own label to tear up.

Supporting Statistical Graphics

To best reach those who felt like they had no-where to turn, we wanted CAFY's voice to be confident and reassuring.
